This guy is selling a stock 4.6 ford throttle body for $50. He says he ported it so that it performs like a 70mm throttle body! Should i buy this are would i be waisting my money?

I would make sure it was ported... otherwise your just buying a stocker for 50 bucks.

performance wise, espcially on a NPI car, your not going to see any results really.

don't waste your money.find a used TB. i paid $50 for my BBK 70mm Power-Plus.

I bought a stock non modified one from e-bay and polished and ported it myself and like the results. I think there is a picture of it in my mod link if you click it. It is true that even the most expensive TB / Plenum combo will probably only add a tad power and only in the high end. Nonetheless, most of us people on this board are after every bit of tq/hp that we can get and just do it for bragging rights and fun anyway. To answer your question I would not buy one that has been worked on by somebody else UNLESS I had a few other buyers telling me that his sh@t was all good or had some kinds of guarantee.
