new noise
i noticed it when i was going about 40
when im coasting then i touch the gas i hear a click come from under the car, it sounds like its coming from the center....where the transmission is (auto) [:@][&o]
its best heard going about 13mph, i can get it to make the noise 95% of the time
i have to be coasting, then give the gas a light touch and then i hear a click...weird
anyone have any input? thanks
oh and whats the difference between a normal dyno and a "mustang dyno"?

RE: new noise
Random question at the bottom of the post FTL lol.
Sounds like it could be: exhaust leak? knocking? Is it a "click" or a "tick" and is it continous with engine speed? And...
....I agree. If you see my other post you will know what I mean.
And I have heard that Mustang dynos are more accurate and sensitive. They usually give lower readings than other brands. It is just the brand, if I am correct, nothing to do with our cars.

^^what are we agreeing on? im lost lol
its like a clunk but only half like a "cluhh"
if i have to pick i'd say its more of a knock
no, its not consistant, it just happens the second after i hit the pedal, it wont continue with the rpm's

RE: new noise
We're agreeing on the fact that our cars are autos and I make that face also"[:@]".
And now that you re-described it, I think I have heard that sound before too. I feel like it is just the power being transmitted. Like at certain speeds the crank is moving faster than the gears and vice versa for other speeds. It is just the sound of the driveline matching the engine speed after you were coasting. Obviously this is the "dummy" version of what is going on, but it is hard to explain over the internet. I'm sure someone with more experience will chime in.

there shouldn't be any "slack" in the drivetrain though..anywhere
