Default v6 vs v8 rear bumper covers

i need help with a decision. i've got a '02 black GT with a completely stock exterior. i've just finished my exhaust system and have it sounding the way i want. i had to dump both mufflers way before the rear bumper cover, so it looks kind of stupid to have the GT rear with the 2 exhaust cut-outs and nothing in them. i was considering finding a black rear off a v6 mustang and slapping that on there. i think it would look a little better. thing is though, i dont want to look like one of those wusses that slaps a gt emblem on a v6. what have others done with dumped exhaust on new edge mustangs? should i just go back to a cat-back exhaust and hope it sounds good, or what?

If you don't want mufflers than that would be the way to go. You won't look like a wuss once you rev your engine. Besides, the Cobra R has a v6 bumper.

yea man, do whatever you like on the car. Forget what people think, as long as you like it. Once you rev up the motor at a light, people wont think your a poser...

If you are just going to replace your bumper anyway, I would fiberglass and fill the cutouts. That way its a GT bumper, which is lower than a V6, and doesnt have the cutouts you dont need. If it doesnt work then get the V6 bumper.

Isn't there some covers that wrap around the lower end of the bumper and cover up the exhaust cut outs? Otherwise, go with the v6, you sure will surprise the heck out of anybody who can't recognize a GT.

No wusses turn the 6'ers into cobra's not the other way around. I'm planning on completely debadging my car when I get the chance. My rear bumper says Mustang GT and I'm looking to get that filled. There is no shame in hiding what you got just pretend you have something when you don't.

Get it. Or get the Roush bumper valances. That is what someone was saying earlier. BTW, I have a V6, not a GT with a 6er bumper . I've been thinking about getting a GT bumper for mine, but right now I just have tailpipes with hidden turndowns, so they look like dumps, but they really go all the way back. I just hate seeing tips UNDER a V6 bumper [:'(].
