Default 4.30 rear gears in 98 GT

HOw would a stock 98 gt 5 speed fare with a set of 4.30's? I dont really do that much highway driving as it is now. SO would these be a good gear?

If it's your daily driver I would suggest 3.73's or 410's. 4.30's would be annoying to drive with everyday, but would be fine for the track.

I'm with legend and devinsteen...... I'm waiting to put on my 3.73's, but you might rather have the 4.10's. I do a lot of highway driving so I chose the 3.73's!

it would fare pretty well. i'm with everyone else. if you go out to the track alot, you'll probably really appreciate it. it may be too much gear if its wet outside, though you'd probably be able to start in second.

actually for a 98 I would do 4.10's at the most... 5th gear is higher than the 01+ GT's making highway sucky and also the fact that the non-pi motors don't breath as well up top make even 3.73's a better choice than 4.30's IMO... personally I vote 4.10's

4.30's.

I have mine right besides me waiting for the special day. I have 4.10's now...

Don't fear the gear.

You guys are scared of 4.30s, pansy's! Once I get money saved up I'll be dropping in a 4.785 final, up from my current 4.4.
