Hi everyone! I'm new to this site. What a great site this is. Tons of useful information. I am learning alot already.
I have a 96 GT convertible and I am wanting to swap out the 4R70W for a 5 speed (T-45). Just wondered if you guys might have done that. Where do you get theparts for the swap? Has anyone delt with Midwest Mustang for trans, clutch pedal assem., etc?? Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!

if your gonna do a tranny swap think about getting a t56 or a tko 500 or tko600 unless you got a t45 for dirt cheap. t45 are not that strong

Thanks for the advise! Any idea if those trannys you recomended will work with my current crossmember? What about the bellhousing, shifter, etc??

you need many things to do the swap, google may help you. look up chad's mustang swap

anyways, will cost some coin and some sweat

each setup you will need different stuf. likes said above best to google... m/o is to go with a t56 if you plan on f/i and a set of 4.10 gears.
