Default hood scoop

i have a 2000 mustang gt, for some reason my car didnt come with a scoop. if i were to get one off a 2003 would the black plastic i have right now get in the way of the scoop

They didn't come with scoops until 01 I believe.

And yes, a GT scoop from 01-04 should fit right on your hood, there the same hoods, just without the scoop.

You do need to drill into the hood though.

Depending on what model you got, it didn't come with a hood scoop. For example 1999's didn't come with one unless it was 35th SE car. I discoverd this after I got my car.
So a Bullitt hood scoop or a 35th SE hood scoop should fit on your car as well.

Me.... I'm saving for a shaker hood scoop set up.

I just called them for specific fitment issues with the stock GT indented hood and they said it will fit and they give you the trim work to hide the indented area of some kind with the kit.

I have the 35th anniversary and mine dont have a scoop.... I am in the process of getting one and puttin it on.....

yupp. i just ordered the hoodscoop kit from dallasmustang. mine doesent have a scoop either. makes our car look like a v6 [&:]

Look around for a used hood that matches the color of your car. This may be cheaper then buying the hood scoop and having it painted.

it would actually be cheaper to look for a whole hood w/ scoop like on ebay or somewhere because people want alot for just the scoop. For example my scoop had broke on one side of it and i bought a new one. Well i sold the broke one on ebay, and someone gave me over $200 for it.
