96 Mustang - Look like a good deal?
I posted this in the New Member forum but don't know if it's the correct place so I'll post it here also.
Hi guys! I usually just lurk around and search for the info I need but I have a specific question for you guys. I am interested in a local 96 Ford Mustang and want some opinions. It is a 5 speed 4.6L with 155,000. The add says $3,900 but I am hoping to go lower but want to know your opinions on it and if it would be worth it or not. Here is the link. I will post more info and more pictures as I receive them.

do a carfax on it and give it a good lookover yourself, look for leaks around the tranny, oilpan, rear end and other places where fluids go, chheck the suspension to make sure its not shot and give it a good run to make sure there arent fuel problems and listen to squeels or other abnormal sounds...and good luck with that deal

in my opinion, the price seems a little high for the milage. the only case i would buy a car with that many miles was if the body and interior were perfect and planned on doing a rebuild in the near future. if you could pick it up for $3000 and wanted a new built shortblock, it would be a great deal. im not saying that it wont last a long time, because i know some people on here hit like 200kmiles on here and have no major problems, its just that i dont think your average mustang will, and especially because you really dont know how well it was treated by the person who owns it. i paid$6000 for mine with ~75k on the clock, but part of the reason why i paid that much was because it had like a $2000 system. i think you should look around some more and you could come accross a good deal with less miles.

That's about the right price for those cars... I just bought a 96 248a option car with 135k on it for 4000. The car only has a shifter, gears, exhaust and throttle body.... So that's about right for the car... If its clean, i'd say go for it...
