Default 180 T-stat or SCT tune...

I was messing with my xcal this morning while waiting to go into work. I decided to look at the low speed fan and noticed it kicked in at 200 degrees. I decided to lower it to 190 for now.

For those of us with a tuner...would this work just as well or would a T-stat be a better option?

Any drawback to having your fan come on sooner using the xcal?

I run a 180 t-stat and my war NEVER goes past the middle of the gauge and im pretty sure my fan is set to 190 as well.

I lowered it on my SCT as well, I think to around 190 or so. I still have the stock thermostat for now, but I'm switching to a 180 whenever I get around to it...

You should only lower the low-speed fan temp after installing a lower temp stat. Your stock statstarts to open at~192*, so turning your fan on sooner than thattheoretically prohibits the stat from opening or opening fully.

Get a 180* stat and then lower the low-speed fan to 190*.
