Yeah man, I raced my friends dad's 04 GTO the other day. we was rolling, and decided to punch it. He didnt pull an inch from me. So now they are all like, something is done to that mustang, something is done to that mustang, and all i have is a CAI. NOW, I know from a standstill he would kill me. I dont understand how i hung with him still. It just goes to show though. These mustangs can hold their place is a race. My friends actually look at my car with respect just knowing a 4.6 kept up with the 5.7.
Yah people seem to really think these cars just have no real potential.
Stock 5.7 GTO's are turds. it's the 6.0's you gotta watch out for

A true slick isn't going to help a bone stock car that much. even with a redline cluch drop (rearend probably gonna go boom) you are still going to bog the car out pretty bad. A nitto or even BFG would be a better choice for a stock car rather than a full slick.

lol. youd be suprised what you can keep up with from a roll. i kept up with my friends 01 cobra with bolt ons. we were dead even from 50-90mph
