Default New edge or SN95 for street beast?

I'm about to begin building up my "terminator" motor, but am unsure of what to put it in. I have a teksid block, forged cobra crank, terminator heads(which are getting ported as we speak), comp cams, and a 2.8L KB sitting in my garage awaiting assembly. I know, theres a lot more I need, but those are all I have collected so far. I'm awaiting the heads to get done before I choose rods/pistons.

But anyways, I am most likely going to be using a built T-56 transmission and the 8.8" rear-end. So, which car is better? I haven't seen too many super quick SN95s around. This was the problem. I have seen tons of 10second and lower new edges that are completely streetable, but sn95s are rarer. I don't know if its because people don't like them as much, or what.

Is there something wrong with the SN95 that the New Edge improved on? I'm hoping for atleast a mid-high 10sec pass with full interior, and 650-700whp or so...

Honestly, it doesnt matter which one you go with as they are basically the same platform with different body designs. It would be wise to build your suspension and rear end accordingly as 700rwhp is extremely hard on "ALL" parts. I think the new edges look better, but thats just MHO.

If you like them both, pick the one that is lighter.

I'd go with the sn95 with the pony badges to give the illusion of a weak puppy

I'm leaning sn95, because I think they have a smoother design. My only concern was that the new edge may have an advantage I am not seeing.

Nope. Aside from the motor changes between 98-99, there aren't a whole lot of differences.

As far as I know, they have similar suspension setups, fuel delivery is all the same.

But everything mentioned there will be changed out anyways as the car is built.

I'd go with whatever you like better, or whichever you can get for a better price with an excellent body on.

I would prob get a new edge, because when people see the sn 95 body they automatically think its slow and everyone would want to race you.
