My car keeps on making this screaching sound, i took it in and the guy that fixed it said that it was the alternator so he replaced it and the screaching went away now three weeks later its doing it again. could it be something els or did he just put in a crapy alt. if so what alt should i get?

no do you think thats what it could be, plus im 17 and have to make the car payments so i dont want to blow 40 bucks or however much they are and it stilll make that screach

that should've been the first thing you did,before the alternator. Serpentine belts for our cars are ~$25.

i guess i will just go get a new belt i took it to a garage and thats what they said was making the sound
