Default Best Cams for 32v 99 Cobra??

I'm interested in how much cams would run me for my 99 cobra, also prices and how much horsepower I can expect to gain? I'm not shure were to start are what I should go with, I would like to do this before I get the supercharger put on... I'm also looking to add long tube headers, I might also have the heads ported, i'm doing this because i'm curious to if my 99 cobra will beat my friends 01 ls1 that putting 365 an 380 at the wheels, and if it will make a big difference in my car, Without my adder that is I wonder if n/a to n/a who would win... What are some good cams and valve-train to go with???

The cams will probably give you more horsepower, but it will come at the expense of bottom end torque. And with extra horsepower being produced on the stock bottom end you run a greater risk of damaging it. With the stroker kit you will produce more power through out the RPM range as well as adding strength to the engine for increased durability. The cams can also be changed at a later date without having to completely disassemble the engine.

Here is quote from DSS racing, dssracing.com, located about 15 miles from my house. But I believe you'll have to have it all installed, not sure if price quoted below is installation too, but I highly doubt it. You'll have to check your local shops for install prices.

And with forged internals and cams you should be able to hit the 11's, but you'll need a lot of suspension work to put all the power to the ground.

to run with your friend you need some work. with bolt ons and cams, you can beat him from a stop with a great suspension setup, unless he has one too. cams and springs will not hurt your engine, the power gain won't be that significant. but it will pull much harder up top. a nice supercharger would get you the power to beat him, lots of guys run 8-10 lbs on stock cobra motors. with a good tune and a reasonable amount of boost, you would be fine. or with cams, a good tune. just all in what you want. i'm making 120 or so rwhp over stock on my bottom end with 132K, runnning great. you can do the same on yours.

It is super expensive and not at all worth it unless you are planning to go with a crazy uncorked 4v setup. I am talking about spinning the engine around 9000 RPM in a totally built motor that is competely worthless in day to day driving.

This is the only way your gonna out perform a supercharger on a stock engine. If it was for a 2v car I would say go for it, but with prices in the 1500-2000 range your hurting your pocketbook for not alot of gain.
