I just have a few questions about doing a Straight Axle to IRS swap.

Can the differential or carrier be swapped between the two? For example, the GT has 4.10's and wants the IRS but does not want to swap for the 3.55's.

How much work is the actual swap?

Which parts are actually exchanged?

Can the GT shocks be used with the IRS?

You can swap out the ring and pinion between the two with no problems. That is about the only thing thatis interchangeable. The Cobra IRS incorporates completely different spring rates, (dimensions), and shock dampening than the solid axle GT.
