Default Trick Flow intake manifolds

Has anyone had any experience with one of these? Would I be better off, not price wise, power wise, with the stock manifold and an accufab TB and Plenum? Or should I do the trick flow with an accufab TB 75mm? I have seen on trick flows website that they have the same manifold with the twin 57mm TB's for a cobra, would that be worth while? Or just go with the 75mm? Also any mods needed to make this intake match up to my BBK CAI? Moving around the pipe or this and that? Or does the Trick Flow manifold have the TB in the same position as stock? Thanks

Im pretty sure the Trickflow intake would be a good idea if you have full bolt-ons or your planning on using any kind of power adder. Also with head work and cams any intake that allows better flow is going to be better. If you dont have full bolt-ons, spraying, s/c or cams/headwork you should just finish what ever bolt ons you can do first. I doubt your going to see an improvement with just that intake on a close to stock motor.

What he said, your not gonna see any crazy power improvement on a close to stock motor. But with heads/cams I'll bet that it wakes up the motor quite a bit. Unfortunately I installed the blower and the intake in the same week, so I don't have any before and after dynos. According to the butt dyno, I got a nice amount of torque at the bottom and a little power up top. Throttle response is off the chain and it revs up a helluva lot faster. The TB psition and angle is a little off from stock, so Trick Flow includes a new intake tube with the kit. You could probably get your BBK to work, but I just replaced it. The oval upper manifold for the twin 57s is not available yet, but would be a nice addition as long as the linkage is all the same. I would recommend the kit, especially if you plan on a power adder or heads and cams. The only thing that kinda sucks about the manifold is that it stay a lot hotter than the plastic one.

I am really wondering if I would see power improvement comparing....stock manifold, accufab TB and upper plenum, VS trick flow manifold and accufab TB.

I would say yes. Its just a better setup than the stock plastic. Plain and simple. 5.0 mustang magazine did an install on a completely stock (other than catback) 02 gt and got 13.5hp increase to the wheels with a 70mm TB. Thats the only #s I've seen for it. Most people get 5-10 hp from a plenum+TB swap and with your LTs, and the diablo you'd probably see more than that.

Yea, there's no doubt in my mind that IM going with the Trick Flow, Ill be sprayin in a few months, then blowin it in 4 years, but my buddy has no plans of a power adder. Either way I think from what ya'll have said, he should go with the Trick Flow, as should I.
