alright, i know people will say "search" but i have for like 45mins...even went out to play around and see whats going on i have a 99 GT and under my radio is traction control and rear window defrost, foglights are behind cupholder.... everyone says there is a TC light.... my button says TRAC CTRL or something close to that and when i click it i hear a small click sound but no light anywhere (even tried with the key turned where all lights on my dash light up, and there is no place for TC)...i dont have a light on dash or on the button or anything...so i was wondering how i know if its on or off... i know when you start the car its turned on and then you click button and its off...but i pulled outta my house and did a burnout without clickin the button and they roasted pretty good.... backed up to the same spot and clicked it again and burned out and they roasted just as far... about 20-25feet before shifting to second both times...ive also fish tailed completely sideways with trac control turned on...is mine maybe broken or is it just not that big of a thing? i dont notice a diff when its on or off...

Did you buy the car used? Might have a tune in it already with the command to keep Traction Cntrl off. Or a chip in your ECM.

On the 02 GT the default is on (light is off) Pushing the button turns on the light and turns off the TC, so on=off. Confusing. When your TC engages, you should see an indicator on the dash. Mine is green and resembles a tire spins or something like that. Again, this is for the 02. From what everyone says about TC, I wouldn't worry too much if it didn't work because the concensus is its not much help anyway.

ok i didnt know what that green light was...i have that.... and ive noticed before when taking hard corners that the green light will light up...so it lights up when the trac ctrl is being used only? any way to tell when im just cruising or no? only time ive noticed that light was when taking a hard corner....didnt watch in my burnouts though...ill go do a couple more and see what i get...brb

It only illuminates when its engaged You should not see it during cruising. Only when your car thinks you are losing traction like in the rain going around a corner or in the snow. I just go slower so there is no need for TC.

ok well... i did like 4 burnouts and it did not engage at all...after each one i pushed the button and then did it again...so i tried on and off a few times...never got a green light....theres only one turn by my dads house i get the light everytime and its like a dip in the road... so i guess it all works fine and TC is just junk for burnouts? i mean.... i was doing first gear launches from 4500 rpm and spinning them for 20feet and no light....
