Default 99+ COIL ON PLUG, want better ones?

Finally found someone who makes better coils. About 300 dollars for 8 of them. BTW from FORD they are 100 a piece! Granatelli Motorsports make them . ALso MSD is on their way to making some also. Since i think COP will be around for a while, alot of companys will start. Just thought i would let everyone know!

do you think they'd make a difference? i didn't think ignition was a problem for the 4.6 unless you're up there in the horsepower.

Hi,

Was just investigating the Granatelli Motorsports option as a replacement for a possible bad coil.

This kit just replaces the actual wire from the Coil to the plug (all 3 inches or so) supposed to be lower resistance.

As of now the only coil option is OEM Ford which is fine but $$$.

PS. New to this forum but has been great help and fun with my new 99 GT

Yeah, I ran into this issue the other day.. I was looking into systematically replacing my coil packs, and called Ford because some of the local shops had to order them..

Ford replacement - $124.95
Autozone replacement - $39.95
Napa replacement - $41.25

Wtf?? I'm glad we don't have to go to Ford for that..

95 Eagle Talon TSi AWD - 12.7 @ 103mph (R.I.P.)
00 Mustang GT - Too Slow to Race, so far.....
