Just bought a 2000 GT!
I just bought a white 2000 GT today. The body was perfect, every single option including gray leather and the mach stereo, she had a stack of papers of maintance and oil changes that was 5 inches thick. Always garaged, and babied by a lady in her mid-40's. The reason for selling was aparent as soon as I pulled up as there was a 05' GT in the garage, which tells me that she loves this one enough to buy a new one. Also it only has 44k on it, and still has 21 months of warrenty on it. It has got a 7 year 70,000mile warrenty Oh yea, and I got it for 11k, which isnt bad concidering the miles and condition. I have a few questions, u can turn off the traction control right? Where is the button? I drove it home tonight, but I wasnt able to find it. ALso, I would like to spend about 1000 on mods. What springs do you recommend? What else should I drop the $ on? I don't want gears because I have to drive to college 5 times a day, and its about 30 min of freeway. Im going from a 88 full-size blazer to this, and its also my first manual, so Im in HEAVEN

get yourself a nice intake, plenum and TB setup. you can easily find these parts used for cheap, just as good as new. get a catted X pipe, wich you can prob find used but good as new cheap, and a nice catback. you could do all that under a grand easy.

who cares if it's 30 minutes to drive to college? ask around, people do highway driving with 4.10s and it isn't bad on gas or anything. i do highway driving sometimes with 3.73s and i'm fine.

Sounds like you got quite a deal. THat is a good price...I paid that much for my car with 56k two years ago. Get gears man....3.73's will be fine for highway and everyday driving. If not that then at least get a mid-pipe and cat-back.

I should have pics up in the next few days, right now im just having too much fun driving it Right now Im leaning towards exhause, gears and then a shifter. I have also got to have a carb # for eveything I put on since cali's rules are lame. Will any of these things void a warrenty? Also, is the change to 373's that big of a difference? Im pretty sure 4.10 are out of the question as 75% of my driving is highway or freeway.
