Default Lighter fuse

I bought a new radar detector tonight and my "plug-in" behind the shifter dosent work. This is simple I'm sure but would it just be the fuse?? If so which one?

I don't know because i've had the same problem and i couldn't find the fuse. I just hardwired the radar detector. I should say that I checked all my fuses both inside and under the hood and couldn't find the damn thing.

I tried to hardwire it as well but no luck with power....If worse comes to worse I guess I will splice off from my other one.

Remove your head unit and tapinto your accessory or 12v (depending if you want it to stay on) and you will be fine.

Since I can turn the detector on and off then that will probably work well. Thanks

Mine's hard wired to my radio accessory wire. It looks clean i think. don't forget to use an inline fuse available at autozones too.
