Lets put a size on it what do you say. If the light hits it right you will almost always see that little metallic sparkle on oil that has a few thousand miles on it. But those particles shouldn't be any larger than maybe 1/10th the size of a grain of sugar. You shouldn't be able to really feel them if you rub them between your fingers. All you should feel is the oil. I would definitely run some Lucas Oil treatment or switch to a good synthetic if you already haven't.

You shouldn't have a problem switching to synthetic on an 02 gt. Synthetic won't make your car just spring up with leaks unless, like he said, your car sat for a long time (like years) and your gaskets are rotting or cracked. It can however make any leaks or seeps you already have worse. The problem is if your car has lets say a bad gasket and has been seeping oil, dirt and crap will stick to the oil and over time will form almost a barrier which is sometime the only thing keeping that particular area from leaking. When you switch to synthetic the new oil will pass right through this "barrier" and will seem like the synthetic oil caused the leak.
