If you're mechanically inclined, you will have no problems. Shifter is simple and if you have the tools to pull your pulleys you will be fine. Get Steeda pulleys (they give simple instructions)

All you need for pulleys is a 3-finger puller (you can check out for free from an auto parts store or just buy one for $15) and a torque wrench.

I've heard the shifters are nice, but haven't upgraded mine yet. The pulleys you won't notice, but knowing you're making more power while saving gas (and possibly extending the life of your accessories and belt) by upgrading engine efficiency excited me enough to do it.

Havent touched the short shifter yet, but the UDPs take no time like the others said if you have a little mechanical knowledge and the 3 finger puller.

Pulleys aren't worth the trouble in my opinion... As hot as it is right now, my car runs 210 during the day with a 180 stat because the water pump can't circulate the water fast enough to keep it cool... Car doesn't recover as well from a low battery with the alternator pulley... I don't like em, gonna be happy to get stock pulleys on my car...

As far as a shifter goes, hurst is hard to beat... MGW makes a damn good shifter but at a price... Not much on a pro 5.0, feels too rough going in and out of gears for my likings...

Hold on to your stock pulleys. If you decide to supercharge, you will need to swap back.

I bought a used 2000 GT with the intent to supercharge. The previous owner had installed underdrive pulleys. Had to scramble to find some stock pulleys. Finally gave up on the water pump pulley and just went with an electric water pump system.

I didn't have any trouble with cooling or charging. My battery shorted out once at night when I was about 50 miles from home. A kind gentleman jumped started me. I had notrouble drivingacross town on the altenator with my lights on to Autozone where they loaned me the tools to install a new battery. I got there 10 minutes before they closed.

Kev2369, overheating usually isn't caused by a lack of circulation. Look at all the other Stangs running around with UDPs without oveheating probs. I'd bet you have another cooling issue causing your overheating.
