i went to start my car today to go to school and it would not turn i moved the steering wheel around and it still would not turn for me am i gonna have to get a new ignition

My car just started doing this recently[:@]. I put the key in and hit it with the palm of my hand and it was able to turn.

Get some Lock Lube (graphite) from a hadrware store, squirt it in there and wiggle the key while you take the load off the steering wheel.
If you can't find Lock Lube, try wd-40.

Don't force it because you will bend the tumblers and it will be worse.

ok i will try that i aske the local ford dealership and they told me i was gonna have to drill the ignition out and put a new one in but i hope i dont have to

Ford is notorious for ****ty ignition cylinders in the '99, '00 and 01 years. I had to have the cylinder on my 00 focus beater replaced twice. The second time I didn't take to Ford and just had a locksmith come out and replace the cylinder and bypass the PATS. Cost for Ford replacement with labor ~ $400, cost for local locksmith ~$150.
