Thanks for the replies. It looks like I'll try the pypes catted x (2 cats vs 4) and see if that is enough. I'm starting to wonder if I wasted 3 bills on the flows. Just so you know where I'm coming from sound wise I'm almost fifty years old and like to have fun but can't take obnoxious loud pipes. Thanks again
I'm 47 and know exactly how you feel.
Flows sound great but they drone like hell, all of them, but some less than others.
FWIW the X is going to give you more of a raspy sound compared to an H which will be deeper.
Both sound nice, just different.

The reason I'm choosing the pypes catted x is price, $260.00, fitment, and I can't really find a catted H that is in that catagory. I thought about a Mac prochamber but I heard they hang low and it seems everyone is going to X's now instead of H. FWIW a guy at work has a newer ford truck, put some flows on it wasn't happy, took them off and just runs straight thru pipes no mufflers with stock cats..Sounds pretty good. Surprisingly not real loud till it winds out. What do you think?
