Time Slip
Went to the track today. Got to see a lot of those LS1's you guys rave about and was not impressed. A 02 SS Camaro with full exhaust a chip a shifter and a supercharger running 5 lbs of boost I believe he said he also had gears and some stickies was only able to get a best time of 12.89. The guy could drive his car and I actually talked to hima little and he even said that the LS1's are dogs out of the whole but top end they were great. He was the fastest camaro there the other ones were running 13.6's with exhaust and a couple of other things. A stock vette was running 13.4's and a ZO6 was running 12.8's. Me with my little 4.6 that has an X-pipe, mello-tone mufflers, Steeda CAI, Steeda Under drive pullies, Steeda Tri-Ax shifter and a throttle body and intake spacer ran a 12.980. And I do have the slip so yuo can see it.

LOL, i saw him do it. all of you chebby guys can read it and weep. i saw 01GT run that run, and it looked real good
im sure you will get a lot of post in disbelief. but, guys, its true. and as far as that famous z06 vette, i kicked his tail. i ran a 11.99 w/ the cobra, and that was with regular tires. he couldnt get any better then 12.6. from now on i dont want to hear any of you ls1 guys runnin your mouth cuz none of them could back it up at the track. their were quite a few 98 and newer t/a's and maros with a lot of mods, and only the ss w/ charger got into the 12's. go ahead ls1 guys, argue that, and if you dont believe the times, tell me where to meet and 01GT and i will come and get you and you better bring it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sorry for the attitude prob, but i have heard enough from ls1's for one life time. they are just as cocky at the track as they are on this mustang forum.

i dont know full bolt on gts can barely run a 13 thats all im saying and i have probably better performance than you and look at the time. My cousin has a trans am so i know what they are capable of, and the reason why they ran so slow is because of traction.
