I went with compcams stage 2's for the npi heads, and they pull all the way up to the 6500 revlimiter that tim @ mph set up. Plus they have a decent lope to them. I kept the stock maf and injectors and still made 271hp with non ported heads and stock pi intake.

The stock springs work with some comp's with no ptv clearance problems but I know for sure you will be finewith a set of VT stage 1's everything stock will be ok.

I've got npi cams in my pi heads. I didn't know how far I could go with the npi pistons so I went with the lower lift cam. Yes Vtengines.com sells stage one cams that don't require new valve springs but stage 2's do, aswell as new dished pistons if you use the staeg 2 cams with 550 lift thats why I went with the 495 lift npi cams.
