is anybody here putting down 400ish hp on there stock 2v motor? apparently the block is only good for around 400hp at the wheels, im not sure about the heads, or the tranny. this is just what ihave heard. im wanting to increase my nitrous shot to a 150 (wet) and that would put me around 375 hp at the wheels, and around 460 torque? am i in the danger zone if i have a good dyno tune??its an 03. thanks guys

The block is fine, it's the internals that can't handle it. 400 is a safe number. I'd say with a good tune you can get to around 425-450, but you're starting to push it. You need to forge the internals before you go much further.

450 is the upper limit for saftey, anything close/above that is risking a meltdown.

Nitrous is a bit different because of the TQ factor. A 150 shot on a stock motor is the absolute highest I would go... and you still run the risk of doing some damage.

I'm at 380rwhp with no problems. I wouldn't do it with nitrous, too much torque.

150 shot of nitrous is just a timebomb on a stock bottom end. Some people are running them but I wouldnt and dont reccommend it.

The tranny will hold it fine. Keep in mind that HP is calculated using TQ, so being at 460ft-lbs, isn't such a great idea.

But it could work for a very long time, without any problems. With a good tune, and being used in moderation.

ive seen a few cars come out of MPHs shop makin 500rwhp or so on the stock internals and some have been for close to a year. its not somethin id recomend though. 450rwhp is always a good safe number.

im at 400rwhp and am doin fine. but like the guys above me said, if nitrous is gettin you there the torque is gonna murder you. i think a 100 shot is more than enough. its your call though
