Default MagnaFlow Vs. SLP

Ok so.. I haven't been on here for a while. I sold both of my foxes and upgraded to a 2003 Cobra. I love it!!! I've had it seens Jun.
Anyways.. I just had my limo tint done. The car is completely stock. I've been looking to get a Cat-Back exhaust for starters and CAI.

I've been looking at Cat-Back exhaust systems from Borla, MagnaFlow, SLP, Pypes, Ford Racing, and Bassani. I don't know if its just me but I was looking at the prices and they were around the $600 and up ^. I was like WTF.
I had my 5.0s and my whole exhaust system went for $600, not just for some Cat-Backs.... ehhh, I guess the newer the model the more money.

Now MagnaFlow has a system for $499 on jegs.com...
And SLP I've seen around $510-$550 for the lm2.
I'm looking for an exhaust that says "I'm coming your way". I figure that would be the SLP but I also want to gain power at the sametime.. not just sound (if you know what I mean).

Thanks for the help guys.. hope you can answer my question

Yeah, SLP LM1 if the rest of the exhaust is stock. Its a Cobra man, stuff is gonna be more expensive just because...congrats on the new car.

CAI's dont do too much for our 2vs, so you wont find a dyno proven favorite here. Id suggest you look at JLT and Tunable Induction though.

I say rather than goin with either of those go BASSANI. SLP is rediculous loud tho , but I cant complain about my magnpacks either.

LM1's - Just noise
LM 2's - Sound good, but can get kinda raspy
Borla - Overpriced, and I think they sound like crap
MagnaFlow - Quiet, good tone
MagnaPack - Loud, bit more tone than SLP, but kinda raspy once you upgrade the midpipe
Bassani - It's what I have, so I like it best.

Your best bet is to listen to clips and decide for yourself. All catbacks net basically the same HP, it's really just a sound mod.

Magnapacks and LM2 sound almost identical. Get whichever you can find the best price on.
