From a pony to a gocart
Ok so enough with all the "supercharge" talk for a seccond... what can I do to make my car HANDLE well enough to even throw a super charger on?
I corner like a bat out of hell... what can I do to make my corners feel like im in a gocart (if thats possible)
I have all stock suspension... Heres what I think I need:
Lowering springs (what kind?)
Strut tower brace
some brace in the back (strut bar? I dunno what its called for the rear)
are coil-overs necessary? Would i need to replace anything else?
I do drive this car everyday, but I can deal with whatever uncomfortabilities it creates (sp? even a word?) as long as I can do more than drive in a straight line (aka turn and not rub or anything to that extent)
Thanks for your help.

RE: From a pony to a gocart
well, can we maby plan out stages?
I know its going to be alot no matter what... but I cant do it all at once, not enough money
How bout in order of importance? (with cost in a lil consideration)

most companies such as Maximum Motorsports, Steeda and Griggs Racing offer kits to increase performance
But if you'd rather buy and build your own kit, here are some answers/ other options
Strut tower brace (preferably 3 point)
Shock Tower brace (the rear "strut bar" your talking about)
lowering springs (1.5"-2" is about all you'll get, cc plates are required to set toe angles with a 2" drop)
Coil-overs (not mandatory unless you get tubular control arms or feel like upgrading/need adjustability)
Stiffer shocks/struts (anything from monotube bilsteins to adjustable KYB shocks)
Caster/Camber plates (as mentioned above, but a good idea in terms of adjustability)
K-member (from coil over tubular systems to Griggs Racing's SLA system)
Sub-frame connectors (Weld-on is a must, but some kits will force you to cut a section of the floor pan out)
Stiffer bushings (if its got bushings, stiffer ones help, polyurethane isn't that harsh, but aluminum and titanium are pretty rough)
Rear end kits (frompanhard barto steeda's 5-link to a Watt's link to IRS conversion...its all possible)
From what it sounds like, steeda or maximum motorsports stage 1 kits would help you set a foundation for how far you want to take your suspension mods. You can get pretty crazy with it and the price can get just as rediculous...there could be a 50+ page thread on suspension set ups. Keep in mind as well, a good set of tires and weight reduction are probably the 2 most beneficial "modifications" you can make.
