Default BULLIT PEDAL INSTALL MADE EASY : HOW TO

Hi everyone, this is a quick overview ontheBullit Pedalupgrade for your Mustang. A few steps and tools are required and will be mentioned in the following steps.

Tools needed :You will need a few tools for your install to go smoothly. They are as follows

Hammer and Punch
Tin snips
Short flat-head screw driver
1/8" drive socket wrench
Short extension
13mm deep socket
Flash Light

Now we're ready to get started on removing the old pedals. Make sure to
push your seat all the way back for as much room as possible. And do this in
your Garage or the shade.

Step 1: Using the tin snips cut the edge off the old rubber,
this will allow the rubber to release from the clutch/brake.

Now moving from the clutch and brake, lets focus on the accelerator pedal.

Step 2: Using your plyers or wire cutters, pry against theshaft releasing the
plastic cap. This is what is holding your throttle cable to the assembly. MAKE SURE IF
YOUR USING WIRE CUTTERS DO NOT CUT ANYTHING. We are simply
using them to grip the plastic end.

Step 3: Using your socket wrench with extension and your 13mm
deep socket; remove the two nuts from the studs.

After removing the accelerator lets take it to the our work bench.

Step 4: Removing the pin that holds the pedal to the assembly is next. Taking a punch
and a hammer tap the pin out of the accelerator arm. IF you have a bench vice this is
a great time to use it. To hold the arm while you wack away at it.

Step 4: TIP: If your pin is being stuborn and does not want to slide into the hole with the help
of your hammer. Drill out the hole a small amount. Just enough for the pin to push through when
you use your hammer.

Step 5: Install the accelerator back onto the floor with the 13mm nuts. Remembering to put the
linkage back on.

Installing your Brake and Clutch pedal

Step 6: For this part of the install we are going to need to go into the kitchen.
Boil some water in a smallpan then drop your pedals into it when the water is ready.
Let them sit for about 5 minuets and take the pan off the stove and to the garage. You
can let the pedals rest in the water until you are ready to use them. Using tongs take one
at a time out of the water.

Step 7: Now starting from the top and working your way around to the bottom work your pedals
into place. NOTE : there is a small lip on the back of the pedal where it grips the clutch/brake.This iswhat
will hold the pedal to the clutch/brake.

Top to bottom^

The lip ^

YOUR DONE!!! They look great and you can say that you installed them yourself.
Now go and have a beer and take a shower you deserve it. Great Job!

The first can of oil I found when putting on my brake pedal was a can of K&N filter oil. I spread it around the rim of the new pedal cover after I boiled it for a bit. It went on in no more than 10 seconds.

The gas pedal was the real PITA for me though. I swear it took me 3 hours.

Personally I didn't bother with any oil or soapy water or boiling for that matter. I turned the pedal covers over, and cut a straight line in the bottom two corners so that I could pull the bottom flap down. It worked semi decently well and easier than fighting with oil all over the place.

Then again some of you probably wouldn't want to take a knife to your new pedal covers I guess.
