my Gt's filler neck is on the passenger side, and my car takes 5 quarts. That Theory is not correct.
+1 passenger side is 5 quarts.

Well, I bought 7 quarts of oil. 5w-20 Royal Purple. I came to a consensus that it was just a better idea to run the 5w-20 than try the 5w-30 with the people I talked to, so O'Reilly's tracked some down for me at one of thier stores. Bought a wix filter, I'll give that a try. Some learned people seem to really like wix. We'll see how that treats me.

Gonna dump the royal purple in tommorrow. I'll let you guys know what I think. It costs twice what it'd cost me to use motorcraft, but if I notice ANY improved difference, I'll chalk it up to being worthwhile. I'll let you guys know what a complete auto-noob thinks tommorrow night when I go out hot rodding.

My 01 GT filler is on pass side and takes 5 qts. Also, Ford says to use their motorcraft fiter, it's suppose to have a built in check valve to help prevent cold start knock.
