I'd say just shy of 300rwhp. Once you put a blower on it it should liven it up some.

Well its all in prep for a kenne bell.... but i'll be driving that around for a few months... is there anything wrong with driving around with low compression?

no i wouldnt think so. The higher the compression the more power a motor makes so thats probably why he said it seemed low. it would seem like a little bit higher compression ratio would work slightly better for a built motor. but No low compression shouldnt hurt you

+1 wont hurt. but will be alot faster once you throw on that kb.

the higher compression will not be better for a built motor especially with a hoss KB sittin on top of it. Nothing wrong with low compression, heres a tid bit for ya, 35 buicks used to run 5.25:4 compression ratios, in a 283 CID making 30hp. Thats like 1.3:1 compression ratio, Id say safe at 8.5:1 is an understatement.
