Clutch?
Whats the best performance clutch for my car, I want to retain driveability, I want a street/strip setup. Somone told me that cause my car is an 04 and has the 8 bolt crank that my clutch setup is different?

RE: Clutch?
your clutch is only different because its an 11" setup, not because of the crank (Cobra's have a different crank bolt setup). The older GT's carried a 10.5" clutch. McLeod is probably considered the best all around clutch, a Spec stage 2 would treat your right also (stay away from the stage 3, not many are happy with it).

RE: Clutch?
The mechanic at Ford when I first bought the car said I have an 8-bolt crank because of VIN number which says that my car was built at the Romeo plant not Windsor or maybe reverse that. I wanna go back there but my warranty would probobaly be voided upon entrance.

RE: Clutch?
Yeah McLeod clutches are nice but they cost a freaking arm and a leg, which is why so few people have them. Just get a Spec clutch because apparently they have a good reputation. If your car isn't putting out a lot of power over stock there's no point in getting a race only max grip clutch kit unless you plan on making some serious power in the near future.
