Default 310rwhp GT?

I talked to a guy at a dyno shop and he said a 00 gt with l/t ,stage two cams and patriot heads pulled out 309rwhp at the wheels after the dyno tune. Thats awesome, has anyone heard of these heads?

patriot heads are PI head castings. i've heard good and bad things about the quality and customer service they offer.

Excuse me for not knowing anything about heads, but what exactly is a casting. And nice numbers man. What cams are you running? stage 1 or 2?

the casting is the bare head itself. what the factory does is cast the head from a mold. i am running comp 270's, wich are equivelant to a VT stage II cam.

I am seriously thinking of getting a set of stage 2 patriot heads. I can totally beileve 309 RWHP with thouse mods.

I was thinking somewhere along the lines of the stage 2 heads and a new intake (hopefully bbk will bring out that intake I have heard rumored for around 800 bucks). 2 dyno shops have told me to expect close to 320 RWHP with the heads and intake, in a totally streetable car.

BTW, MM&FF are running these heads on their "project Icebox". I think they picked up dammed near 100 RWHP with these heads on a supercharged car (with cam install).

do you still have stock internals 2000?? if so, you are pushing that line of grenading your $hit if you do better flowin heads and an intake. not do to the hp but the higher rev needed to keep the power curve with a n/a setup... just something to think about..

dont know about the heads but a buddy of mine has pretty much the same set up as me and adding some stage 2 cams gave him 30 hp to the wheels just like that.

I cant see the point in spending $2100 on a set of heads and cams when a vortech tuner kit is $2300... more power with better drivability and a cheaper install

The shop that did my car claimed they got 310rwhp by just porting the stock heads on an 03 GT and adding Crower stage III cams. I have the same cams, and my idle is totally smooth. They claimed that the idle smoothness was a testament to their expert porting. I was amazed.
