Is 110k miles too much to put a cam in?
Just wondering if I have 110k miles on my 4.6 if its too many miles to put a cam in it?

seriously though,if it's a well maintained motor,you could get by with it.

you can put cams in it.... i'd say put 2 cams in as well.... one cam may not be enough...

i am just looking for something like a vt stage 1 cams so i wouldnt have to change anything...has any of you had good results with them? and how hard is it if i wanna do it in my garage?

Hell, I boosted and cammed a 100k mile bottomend. Cams should be fine.

Miles don't matter. If the motor runs good then do what you will with it. The cam swap is a pretty good job so be prepared to spend some time on it.

If you're worried about mileage, just be sure to replace the timing set (chains, gears, guides, tensioners) and valve springs.
