fuel system, 500RWHP

RE: fuel system, 500RWHP
Here's the deal...
The GT pumps are far better than the Focus pumps. If you want to install 2 pumps on the GT fuel assembly I'm sure it can be done as I modify 05+ systems to accept dual pumps. You'll most likely need to hose clamp the additional pump to the assembly somewhere to make it work. Then you'll want to install 30R10 fuel line and a Y block to flow the fuel from the dual pumps out the stock outlet.
Here's the kit you need to do that.

And here are the pumps..They do not need a Boost a Pump as they can handle enough power on their own.

Now lets talk about FPDM's. Thats your Fuel Pump Driver Module. It's what sends the power to the pumps. The reason the GT pumps don't need a BAP is because of how powerful they are but since they are so powerful they draw too many Amps for the stock FPDM to handle. If you run GT pumps on the single FPDM you run the risk of putting the FPDM into thermal shutdown and the fuel pump will not work which is obviously not good. So with that said you'll need to go with either a single modified FPDM which is a direct replacement or a Dual FPDM setup. The single FPDM for you may be the easier route as it will hanfle the GT pumps without a doubt but also doesn't require any modification to install. The Dual FPDM kit is supposed to be the more efficient way as it dedicates a single FPDM per pump which lowers the load on the FPDMs and provides lower duty cycles of the pumps. The thing with the Dual FPDM kit is even though it is a plug and play kit at the stock harness you'll still need to modify your stock fuel hat to pass the 4 12ga power wires through to the pumps. That's why someone above mentioned the Fore Precision Hat which we sell. The Fore Precision hat not only is the easiest way to install Ford GT pumps but offers much higher flow due to it's single -8an or dual -6an outlets. It also comes pre-wired for either the dual FPDM or single FPDM setup. The wires are all gas blocked and sealed for a leak proof seal. The only issue with the hat for you is that it won't fit a GT tank. You'll need a Cobra tank. We're working on a GT hat however we're still some ways away from being done.
Here's the hat

And the dual FPDM and Modified Single FPDM

Ok,
Well if that doesn't help and you still have more questions please feel free to give us a call. We know a little bit about fuel systems..LOL so I'm sure we can help. Thanks, Jared

RE: fuel system, 500RWHP
do what i did, find an old 03/04 cobra fuel tank and go from there. i run dual pumps and 60lbs injectors. a single 255lph fuel pump should get you right around 500RWHP though. kind of pointless to spend like $1500 on a new setup if you only plan to go to 520RWHP.
