Use your voltmeter to test voltage off of your amps....maybe of the amps that power the sub isnt working. Just trace the wire back to the amps. Check voltage on the side that works it should read the same on the other side.

I think those factory woofers are dual voice coil and have 1 amp powering each voice coil, so in effect you have two amps per woofer. I would doubt that two amps would go bad at the same time. I would check your radio line level outputs instead. Also make sure your fades and balances are set correctly.

ORIGINAL: ac316scu I was out cleaning the inside of my car 2day listening to music and i noticed that my passenger side subwoffer wasnt working. i took it out and pluged it in on the driver side and it worked. does anybody know what might be wrong? anything that can help me thanks guys. The wiring for this clusterfsck runs under the rear seat through some grommets and if water gets in there, and it does, it shorts things out and blows the fuses. I've seen it a few times on the Mach systems. Also cranking things up really loud will blow fuses as well. They are under the hood in the black box. Look in your owners manual for what fuses to check as there are several of them. P.S. It's not really a clusterfsck...I just like the word :D I have the Mach 1000 in my 03 GT vert and like it. |
