I like NGK plugs. For performance go with standard copper. For longevity under normal driving conditions go with platinum. If you need a owners manual for your Ford goto the ford.com website and sign on to the myford part of the site. MyFord will most likely have a PDF manual for your ride. The sales person at autozone, pep boys, etc... will be able to tell you which plugs fit your car. Also they can tell you the stock gap.

I've readposts bypeople thatswear by Iridium plugs but they are too pricey in my book.

If you only have 45,000 miles you shouldnt need plugs yet! If those plugs are factory, they,re platinum. Unless your check engine light is on, Those plugs should be fine.In fact, ford doesnt change them till 100,000 miles

My brother made it to 75,000 on stock plugs in his 99GT and his check engine light came on. Took it in to Ford, they changed the plugs, problem solved. Newer cars sense mis fire or improper firing cylinders on cars. Improved diagnostics
