wheel bearing, help please
I need to change my wheel bearings out and i was searching a while back and saw that theres a nut you have to take off and its a one time tighten nut, they said i would need to go buy another oneto finish the assembly because if i put that one back on it could come loose, and i bought the whole bearing hub assembly and need to know if i have to grease it or is it pr-greased? thanksss

If you got the whole hub assembly I'm 99% sure its pre-greased.
You're *supposed* to replace the hub retainer bolt, however Ive taken it off and got it back on without problem. I would imagine a new hub would come with that. So to replace it, basically just pop your wheels off, pull your entire brake assy in the front off as well as your rotor, pry off the black grease cap, break off the retaining bolt and the hub assy will slide off the spindle. Install is the opposite. If you have ABS, then the serrated sensor ring goes back onto the spindle before the hub assy.

I did my front wheel bearings a while back and re-used the retaining nut assembly on both sides. While it was fairly easy and straight forward, I had to get a very strong impact wrench (air) to get the nut off the spindle. I believe that the ABS ring is part of the hub assembly (at least on the 99-04).

I re-used both my BIG NUTZZZ...lol just make sure you dent it back in like factory does to hold it into place. It's nothing like the TTY bolts for heads. I would re-use it again if I took the stuff back apart! Make sure you tighten it down to Manufacture specs!!! It's something crazy like 200-250ft.lbs???? Not sure, but I just bought a wrench from auto-zone and returned it when I was done..lol too loose and they will fall off, too tight and they will burn up the bearings. The bearings are sealed. No maintenance required.
