How often am I supposed to change the coil packs in my mustang?

change and often shouldnt be in the same sentence as coil packs... unless you have a serious problem

haha oh okay, I don't know much about coil packs. Someone wanna explain to me how they work in comparison to spark plugs? I guess they are designed to last FOREVER?

well coil packs are what send the "charge" sporta speak to the spark plugs... so the spark plugs are the acutal things that spark to ignite the fuel, and the coil packs are what go on top of the spark plugs to make them fire

Ah I see.... so there are still spark plugs underneath my coil packs that I need to change periodically. So I guess COPs are a kinda replacement for plug wires?

COP's replace the distributor, not the spark plugs.
