Default blowing an 01 gt

i am an expeirenced drag racer and am contimplating modifying my single overhead cam 4.6

if it was the dohc 4.6 id have my mind made up. but with the single overhead cam 4.6 ive been thinking

a votech t-trim at like 12 lbs, with meth, and full bolt ons.

does that sound like a 450 rwhp setup and good for mid-low 11's on an et drag on prostars

On the stock shortblock you don't need anything bigger than the S or SQ trim from vortech. If you plan on upgrades(forged shortblock)in the future a T is a good idea.

450 is right at the "safe" limit for a stock 4.6L shortblock. I like to tell people to keep it under about 430ish WHP just to be safe, and thats with a good tune. You should also be shooting for around 10 PSI.

A SQ, 10 PSI w/ meth injection and a good tune (with all the boltons etc) should get you real close to 420/430 WHP depending on the tune and if your running an auto or manual. With 420 WHP I have made an 12.40@114 pass with plenty left in the car (only a 1.9 60' time). your going to need some suspension upgrades and a new axle to hit 11s realiably, but it can be done.
