High flow cats set you back about 3-4hp from an O/R pipe. You get more raspy louder sound with an X-pipe. Most like the H-pipe, but I like the X-pipe. I put an H-pipe with My LT's and don't care much for it. You need to get MIL eliminators ($50) and that will prevent your check engine light from coming on! I have an almost new o/r x if your interested

Even if you buy the MIL's, it may still cause you to throw a code and theCEL will come on. Buy a tuner and turn things off so you won't get that

there is a possibility of a cel comming back on. i havent experienced one yet.

x gives a couple more hp over h, and sounds raspier. h sounds cleaner and is a tad louder.

They just plug right in. I haven't had any problems with mine yet! (you may have to sand off the alignment tab on the male end of the MIL connector)

What's the point of MILs if your idiot light still comes on? I'd also have to wonder about how the engine is running if the CPU thinks something is wrong. It would run too rich or too lean, depending on which way the fake signal sent by the MILs is off.

I have an X-pipe, my CEL has been on FOREVER and it gets annoying as hell.
I put MIL's on they worked for a little while and it came back on, I made my own MILs they worked for a little while and again its back on. Im thinking its cutting hp because the car just doesnt feel the same when its on.

yeah i dont want to deal with the CEL being on all the time. i think it might just be smarter to have highflow converters and lose a small amount of hp..
