KYB or Strange. If you look on eBay you can find a good deal on KYB AGX adjustables.

I bought a pair of cheapos from Vatozone. $12 for the pair. They perform great as far as I can tell. Couldn't be happier.

Hey, you mentioned "for the dollar"!

Oh yeah, and they've got a lifetime warranty. LOL It's only 15 min to replace them, so WTH.

TOKICO, by far can't be beat for the money. Tokico has bought heavy into Ford products over the last 20 years. They built the stock adjustables on my 1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe, which lasted an incredible 116K miles on that car without missing a beat. I have a set that were made for the Bullitt/Mach I on my GT, love them.

Are you friggen super mechanic or something! How in the world are you replacing shocks in only 15 minutes?!

As for the question at hand, check these out: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=5740
Now, I got these for $400 from somewhere (I can't remember). But for that price, you're getting shocks, struts, springs and sway bars. I put that kit on and it makes my 97 GT look great and they handle soooo much better than stock. The shocks and struts are Tokiko and the springs are ford racing, I think. Great kit if you ask me.
