Check the resistance of the sender if the gauge doesn't work at all. Usually if you ground the wire off the sender the gauge should go full sweep right telling you the gauge is working. Get a new sending unit and you are good to go.
Also if you want a 180 stant get one for a Lightning. They are 180 and OE Ford.

well i know it works, because before i did the pi swap, it was fine and after i did it, after the car warms up, the meter only moves about this much [---] so its below the "N" in NORMAL.[&:]
so a 180degree thermostat for a SVT Lightning because thats ford's OEM?
