My timing chains are so stretched that I probly don't run out of power until about 6K anyway . 135K miles on those suckers, so I figure my cam timing is probably a little retarded by now.

I shift at 5500 or so at the track normally. Just a bit funny we're having different experiences for the rev limiter. I hadn't hit my rev limiter till I was doing auto cross... I was so focused on driving that I didn'ttotally hear the engine, and I couldn't see the tach (not like I could stare at it at the moment anyway ). I was coming up to a chicane and didn't want to go to second for like 20-30 feet so I just kept it in first and accidentally tapped the limiter. When I watched the video later I was like "oh god that sounds awesome."

When driving/drag racing though, my engine's sound changes on the inside fairly drastically at 5600 RPM or so, which tells me it's time to switch gears... It's rare I reach redline, let alone the limiter.

My rev limiter seems to be at 5750RPM. I have a 99 GT 5 speed.

Huh i guess i cant say i can veryify my cars rev limiter is stock but i believe it is and it usually hits the rev limiter at around 6100-6200 i thought

My rev limiter was at 6200 rpms also.
