Default slow acceleration

I cant figure out why my inital acceleration is slow even when I slam on the gas it dosent accelerate quick. Is it because I have a 4 cylinder?

think so. my brother's truck is a 4.9 I6 and it's the same way, in fact you have to slam it to get somewhat normal accelleration. i though maybe the throttle cable wasnt pulling all the way open, but nope, its just slow.

(kinda off topic, but still, i think unless you have a V8 or are modded to s**t you really arent just gonna fly off the line.)

turbo seeing as you can get it from an svo...but actually completely swapping the whole engine is easier, and just buying an svo is even easier unless insurance is an issue.

bout the only thing I can think of that is worth the time and money is a set of gears. Go with something like a 3.73, and you will accelerate like you have a v8 in 1st and 2nd gear, and give you overall alot more performance.
