Hubcentric spacer....cut existing studs?
Does anyone know the length of our stock wheel studs....(distance from hub to end of stud)? I am looking at hubcentric wheel spacers for the rear, but would rather not have to shave down my current studs. If this is notpossible without getting 2.5" spacers just chime in.
Anyone out there with hubcentrics...what did you do for install? Cut existing studs....bought a spacer long enough to cover the existing studs.....or did your wheels fit with the existing studs sticking out past the spacer a bit?

I had 1" spacers on my back axle last year. I had to cut of the tip of the stud where there isn't any thread! I had to cut about 1/4" right to the thread. No big deal. If you don't want to cut, get 1-1/4" spacers.

I bought 10.5" wheels and they sat right where my 1" spacers put my 9" wheels! If I were to put spacers on now it would look kinda redneckish and my tires would stick out and hit my fenders

I have stock bullitts all the way around right now. I have a set of black 99 style pony rims (17x8) in the garage waiting to get my tires switched over. I just wanted to push them out closer to the fender in the rear....I hate how stock rims are tucked so far into the wheel well.

1-1/4" will put you right at the fender. If you are lowered more than 1" I would stick with 1" spacers as you may rub your fender, well.... you will rub! with the 1" spacers and .75" drop my cuz sat on the trunk and a couldn't fit my finger between the fender and the tire. That's how close.

275/40 17 with a 9" wheel H&R supersport springs and H&R 1 1/4" hubcentric spacers, no rubbing. if by chance they do rub a slight bit grab a hair dryer and a baseball bat and do a little fender rolling. with the 1 1/4" spacers you don't have to cut anything just take the tires off install the spacers, reinstall the tires and goooo....

When I found out 275s won't even fill the rear wheel well out I was pissed. Now with a 1" spacer and 275s they'll pretty much sit flush with the edge of the rear well

what kind of wheels do you have....is the backspacing recessed like a deep dish or are the closer to stock? I am just concerned now that the 1 1/4" spacer might be too much with my 275's.
