Default Throttle Body Coolant Bypass - more power?

Has anyone ever heard of/tried taking the coolant lines off of your throttle body and just connecting them together? my buddy did it in his trans am, does it really give it more power by keeping the throttle body and intake colder, or is that just an fbody thing lol this might be a stupid question but thats ok...

There are no coolant lines running to or from the T/B on a 4.6.

lol....ahahahahahahaa that was funny. They are Vacuum lines not coolant lines. Yes you need them hooked up, and no it wouldn't give yu more power if this were the case. Your waterpump would still be pumping the same no matter what and that's where your hp loss goes. Ohh and a cooler intake charge creates power, so if your buddy removed the lines he will lose hp because he will be putting hot air instead of cold denser air into his intake!..idiot...your friend

there are vaccum lines and coolant lines in his, the coolant is warm causing the throttle body and intake to have wamer air.. removing these lines keeps it cooler
