Need HELP getting exhaust bolt off
I got aMACo/r h-pipe today and im trying to get the old h-pipe off I gotall the bolts out except for the one on the passenger sidewhere it bolts to the manifold. Im using extensions with a swivel and a 15mm deep socket. But I can't get the socket on the bolt square so if I try to loosen it it will round it off.How do you guys get to it? And what do you use? Please give me some advise. Thanks

I used 1/2" shallow because they are little deeper than 3/8" shallow which won't fit. I put the 1/2" shallow 15mm over the nut first!!! Then I put the swivel part just inside to hok it (won't hook, but will give you enough bite to turn) This is the only way I could get the frigin thing off! Unless you get up there and cut the end of with a dremel extension!

Glad you managed to get it off. For future reference, if you have to do it again or are going to be working on bolts that are likely going to be a pain to get off, hit them with some penetrating oil and let it soak in before you do it. I soaked the bolts with some PB Blaster before attempting to install my X-pipe and it made them come off incredibly easy, no fight at all.

RE: Need HELP getting exhaust bolt off
Got the new one on and tuned out the rear o2's with the predator, but now I have an exaust leak on the driver side where it connects to the manifold. Is there a special way to put that pipe on? The other side is the one I figured would leak because it has a gasket. While I had the car jacked up I got under it and felt all the connections everything else felt great but the bad boy is leaking pretty good sounds nasty. I felt the bolts while it was runningand they are tightHow can I fix it?
