you would be better off modding the 4.6 by the time u spend all the money u get the 5.0 in there you could already have a 12 second 4.6

yea you're better off keeping the 4.6. especially if you are on any kind of budget. you'd have to change atoo many parts and the labor would be sky high unless you did it on your own.

Haha!

Why not just put a bigger motor in? 347, 351, small block Chebby?

Swapping a 4.6 to 5.0 is a stupid idea. Its bigger but doesnt mean better. If you're gonna do an engine swap put something else in that will have more HP's

Get a tubular K-member that will fit 96+'s that has the 5.0 mounting points, build yourself a 408 w/ a quality 351w block, some nice heads, etc... You'd have yourself a beast.

Just jack a navigator motor if u wanna do a swap. 5.4L DOHC 32v imagine the possibilties with that motor. Basically you have a cobra motor with .8 more liters.

Wow, this again...

Sure, if you plan on staying N/A it'd be fine. Also, you'd probably want to replace the cams, as Naviator cams are way different than ones you'd want in a stang. No one has yet to explain to me why one wouldn't just do a 5.8L swap??? You can build a forged one for only a smidgen more than a STOCK 5.4L motor...
