I don't know if i have a leak or not, but everytime i hit the gas panel i hear the hiss sound first before the rumbling sound kick in.
is that an exhaust leak?

more than likley yes. can you figure out where its comming from? get out of ur car and get a friend to lightly press the gass and listen for it, or open ur hood and play w/ the throttle

i mean, anythings possible. Id have to hear it though to tell you. your going to have to pinpoint it yourself unless U can record it or something.


9 times out of 10 tho its going to be an exhaust leak

i dont want to steal the thread, but lets say someones mufflers each have about 2 inch rust holes in them.
would you be losing hp because of that?

i think it's coming from under the hood.
how do i check to see if my vacuum is leaking?

I'm having the same problem. When I rev the gas there is hiss before I hear the rumble. I'm wondering if its my cai. I just pop the hood and play with the throttle but I'm having a hard time trying to find exactly where its coming from.
