some oil on spark plug/some white smoke out of exhaust
i changed my spark plugs today and i was able to get 6 out and change them, and i had to leave 2 old ones in because the screw on the coil was stripped....on one of the 6 there was oil on the spark plug. It wasn't fully saturated with oil but it had a good amount on it, i noticed some white smoke coming out of my exhaust earlier in the day which it never did before today. I put a new plug and im still getting the white smoke from the exhaust. Does this mean i have bad valve seal on that cylinder? and if i do, how much does it cost for a fix and if its too much money, is it safe to drive this way?
its a 2004 gt with 48k miles, slp exhaust, im the 2nd owner, just purchased it and put on 1k miles so far. I read that sometimes water stays saturated in the exhaust system which was probably the thin white smoke....and if it was thick white smoke it would have meant that i blew a headgasket which i know i didnt, havent really beat on it.....What im really concerned about was finding oil on the tip of the spark plug, and with further inspection in the cylinder i was able to see some oil in there. This is my main concern, and im wondering how that oil got there, im thinking its a leaking valve seal and would like to know if this has happened to anyone else and what was the cost for the repair and im wondering if the cylinder would have no compression since there is oil on the spark plug.

RE: some oil on spark plug/some white smoke out of exhaust
i dunno what the deal is with oil on the plug, so i'm not gunna mess with that. but the white smoke is probably a head gasket gone bad. my dad's 01 cobra went through 2 in almost 6 months. he didnt get it take care of immediately the frist time andnow he's ended up with a cracked head.... i strongly suggest checking it out before it happens to you too. run a compression test on the cylinder. that'll tell you all the info you need.

oil smoke generally has a blue tint, coolant will produce white smoke. 3 things could cause oil consumption, bad rings, worn valve guides, bad valve seals.
